Roy completed his graduate degree in Economics in 1995 and immediately started applying what he had learned in the financial industry on the west coast. In 1997 he moved back to his home province of Alberta and shortly thereafter became a partner at Hein Financial Group and an advisor with Assante Financial Management Ltd. Roy obtained his Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation in 2004 and continues to add to his knowledge on all things financial with meetings and seminars around North America. Roy has also been a qualifying member of the world wide organization of the Million Dollar Round Table. Roy is a member of Assante’s Chairman’s Council and is also on the board of Assante’s Regional Council. Away from the office Roy is an avid outdoors-man. He has also been involved with coaching football with the Calgary Bantam Football Association and other sporting and charity organizations. Roy is married with three young children. He has been called a lot of things, but his favorite is “Dad”.
